We believe Camels should be treated as members of the family, instead of units of production. We LOVE animals! ( In fact, our founder ran two nonprofit animal welfare organizations, starting at age 12) That’s why we partnered with a camel herding caste in northwest India Rajasthan. Our partners: The Raika are camel herders in Rajasthan, India who believe they were created by Lord Shiva to take care of camels. The Raika never separate the mothers and their young, Free-roaming camels are kept in a nomadic system and feed off a large diversity of over 35 medicinal Ayurvedic plants. Our partnership provides economic opportunity for the Raika and supports an animal-friendly production system that fosters the Human + Bond.
